TERMS & CONDITIONS OF WORLD ISLAMIC TOURISM MART 2012 (WITM 2012)

TRAVEX & EXHIBITION

1. TO PARTICIPATE AS AN EXHIBITOR IN TRAVEX / CONSUMER EXHIBITION

Application has to be submitted on Official WITM 2012 Exhibitor Form with Full Payment to be confirmed as an Exhibitor.

2. TERMS OF PAYMENT

i)    Full Payment consisting of Cost of Booth & Registration Fee must be made together with the official WITM 2012 Exhibitor Form.
ii)    The Organizer reserves the right to refund the payment made in the event the Exhibitor’s application is rejected by the organizer.

INNOGEN SDN BHD has been appointed as the Official Contractor of WITM 2012 for  the construction of all the Shell Scheme and Special Design Booths.

Only the Official Contractor of WITM 2012 is to do all electrical wiring and connections. Exhibitors must refer to the Official Contractor to obtain approval if changes need to be made to the standard wiring laid out by this Official Contractor. The Organizer reserves the right to stop all activities of an exhibitor should it deem that electrical rules & regulations have been breached.

Admission Policy

WITM is a three-day travel trade industry event comprising of an International Conference, a Business –to-Business (B2B) networking session and a Consumer Exhibition.

TRAVEX  OR BUSINESS-BUSINESS (B2B) SESSION

Thursday, 31 May 2012 – Friday, 1 June 2012: is open to Ministers, Senior Government Officials, Key Leaders in the Tourism and Travel Industry, Sponsors, Pre-registered Travel Trade industry professionals including exhibitors, international & local media and Delegates.

Only pre-registered WITM 2012 visitors with official name tags/badges, trade visitors who register on the day and exhibitor tag/badge holders will be able to attend WITM 2012. Visitors are required to wear business attire as a condition of entry.

Saturday, 2 June 2012: WITM 2012 is opened to the general public. Press badges are restricted to Publishers, Editors, Journalists, Photographers and Broadcasters. Press registrations from advertising personnel and media sales representatives will not be accepted.

Badge holders must not allow their badges to be worn by anyone else. Any failure is likely to lead to the badge holder and the person wearing the badge being removed from WITM 2012.

Anyone obtaining a WITM 2012 visitor or exhibitor badge by theft, deception or other illegal means may be asked to leave WITM 2012. Anyone attending WITM 2012 should carry some form of photo-ID (passport, photo-ID driving licence, national identity card) or other identification acceptable to the Organisers, which the Organisers may ask to see.

No one under the age of 16 will be able to attend WITM 2012. Anyone attending WITM 2012 must not take part in any canvassing, demonstrations, objectionable behaviour or any activity, which may disrupt WITM 2012.

The Organisers reserve the right to exclude or remove anyone from WITM 2012 and the Exhibition venue.Students on travel and tourism related courses that are accompanied who have pre-registered will be admitted on Friday, 1 June 2012 only.

Official WITM 2012 photo & videographers will be taking photo & videos during the 3 days of WITM 2012.

The Organisers shall be entitled to use such photographs, for the purpose of marketing WITM 2012 in the future.

The 1st World Islamic Tourism Mart 2012 (WITM) will be a global forum comprising of the InCoMTHU Conference, Travex(B2B), and an Exhibition(B2C) for the travel & tourism agencies in Malaysia and the world to showcase their products and services in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

WITM 2012 will be a meeting and networking place for renowned hotels, airlines, travel agencies and tour operators, government agencies, national tourism organizations (NTO) and tourism and travel service providers from within Malaysia and the world to tap into new market segments as well as to expand their market share. Islamic Tourism is a sector that has great economic & growth potential. Already tourism is the 2nd biggest GDP earner for Malaysia without the true potential of Islamic tourism having been tapped.

MATTA’s vision is to make the World Islamic Tourism Mart (WITM) to be the leading travel and tourism expo in this part of the world. Kuala Lumpur has the potential to be the Islamic Tourism Hub. With WITM 2012, MATTA intends to lay the foundation for the tourism sector of Malaysia to tap into the global Islamic tourism market.

WITM 2012 is a 3-Day event to be held from May 31- June 2nd 2012 and will comprise of a 1-Day Conference running simultaneously with the 3-Days Travex or Business to Business(B2B) networking session and 3-Days Consumer Exhibition (B2C). Theme of WITM 2012 is “Islamic Tourism: Leading the Way.”

WITM 2012 shall have participation from Airlines, Travel Agencies and Tour Operators, Umrah& Haj package providers, Cruise providers, Hotels & Resorts, Theme Parks, Rail Tourism, National Tourism Organizations, Tourism Malaysia, SPAS & Wellness Resorts, among many others.

MATTA, in collaboration with the Islamic Tourism Centre, is organizing the World Islamic Tourism Mart 2012(WITM 2012) which will be held from 31st  May - 2nd June 2012 at the Putra World Trade Centre & Pacific Grand Ballroom, Seri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

WITM 2012 is a ground breaking event for MATTA and the tourism industry to promote to the regional & international market. WITM 2012 is an ideal avenue for travel and tourism industry buyers and sellers to network, transact business, source for new markets as well as enhance existing market. WITM 2012 is a niche event organized to promote Islamic Tourism in Malaysia, Asia as well as globally. WITM 2012’s focus will be different from other trade shows and fairs in that the emphasis will be on Hajj & Umrah as well as to explore new destinations and products under Islamic Tourism.
